The conference is open to all church leaders; those who are in full-time, bi-vocational or lay leadership: ministers, pastors, elders, deacons, small group leaders, worship leaders, youth leaders, women’s workers, ministry apprentices, interns, those currently in theological education, and those exploring their call to some form of church ministry or church planting. Spouses are also encouraged to attend.
C.J. Mahaney serves as the Senior Pastor at Sovereign Grace Church of Louisville. C.J. and his wife, Carolyn, have three married daughters, one son, and twelve grandchildren. C.J. cheers for the Washington Redskins, Washington Nationals, and University of Maryland basketball, and he cheers against the Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, and Duke basketball.
Bob Kauflin is the director of Sovereign Grace Music and a pastor at Sovereign Grace Church in Louisville, Kentucky. As the director of SGM, Bob teaches pastors and worship leaders on the theology and practice of congregational worship.
Jeff Purswell serves as a pastor at Sovereign Grace Church of Louisville. As Director of Theology and Training for Sovereign Grace, Jeff is dean of the Pastors College, leads pastoral and theological training for Sovereign Grace Churches, and is responsible for seeing that ordination standards and testing are in place to serve Regional Ordination Committees.
Nathan Smith is the lead pastor of Grace Church Bristol, a church he planted in 2002 after graduating from the Sovereign Grace Pastors College. He also serves as the regional leader for Sovereign Grace Churches (UK & Ireland) helping to provide leadership in our shared mission of advancing the gospel through the planting and strengthening of local churches. Nathan is married to Clare and they have 6 children.
